How to
Apply for Work
through KEY

First, we recommend you print this page out or keep this window open and have it handy while you proceed to the application.  Once you have printed this web page, click here to go to the application:  Application

The application screen that opens will have four options:  job search, post resume, member login and client center.  

If you have already registered online with KEY, click here for instructions on how to login and what you can do once you have logged in.

If you have never completed the online application for KEY before, click on "Post Resume."  (Even if you do not actually have a resume.)

The next screen will give you an opportunity to upload a resume if you have one.  For best results, your resume should be a Word document or "rich text format" word processing document.  The system also recognizes PDF or HTML documents but they do not seem to process as well.

If you have a resume, click "Browse" to locate the file on your computer, highlight the file name and click "open."  Then click "upload" and the resume will be uploaded to the system automatically for you and you will be brought to a screen that is the employment application to fill out.  Some of the information might already be filled in for you from your resume.

If you do not have a resume, it is ok to just click "skip uploading resume" and you will be brought to a screen that is the employment application to fill out.

Once you are on the employment application screen, you simply fill in all the fields on the form.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU BE AS COMPLETE AND THOROUGH AS POSSIBLE ON THE FORM AS THIS FORM WILL BE USED TO COMPARE YOUR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO OTHER CANDIDATES.  MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE A START DATE AND END DATE ON EVERY JOB YOU ENTER.  GIVE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE ABOUT EACH JOB YOU HELD INCLUDING WHAT YOU DID, WHAT QUALITY PROGRAMS YOU LEARNED, WHY THE JOB ENDED.

You can click with your mouse to go from field to field or use the tab key on your keyboard to go from one field to the next.  You can also use the key combination of shift-tab to go backwards.

When you get to the skills section of the application be sure to check as many of the skills that apply to you as possible.

At the bottom of the form, you will be asked if you are applying for anything specific-- MAKE SURE YOU MARK THESE QUESTIONS "YES" IF THEY APPLY TO YOU.  If you do not mark this, we will not know you want to be considered for these jobs.

Also at the bottom of the form, you will have the opportunity to create a login i.d. and password.  Be sure to do this so you can log back in at a later time if needed.

At the very bottom of the form, once you have finished filling out all fields, be sure to click "save."  If you do not click "save," all your work will be lost!

Once you have clicked save, you will be brought to the main screen.  You might want to bookmark this screen in your browser so you can return to it later and log back in if you would like.  Logging out and logging right back in is a good way to make sure your application was successfully entered.
